To utilize the platform, you must create an account by providing a valid email address, full name, campus location, and password via the Signup Page. After registration, you can update and manage your personal details at any time through your Account Page. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.
Any registered user may act as a buyer or seller. To list products for sale, you must establish a seller profile and comply with our product posting guidelines. Each product listing incurs a fee of ₦500, and seller accounts require reactivation every three months at a cost of ₦5,000. Sellers must adhere to the product limits assigned to their accounts to ensure equity throughout the marketplace.
Buyers can search for products filtered by campus location to discover nearby items. All transactions are conducted in person; payments should only be exchanged after meeting the seller and thoroughly inspecting the product. We do not facilitate online payments, and we strongly recommend exercising caution to protect the safety of all parties involved.
Interactions between buyers and sellers occur via the Inbox feature, allowing for inquiries, negotiations, and clarifications regarding products. We encourage all communications to be conducted respectfully and transparently. For any concerns or assistance, please refer to the Help Page within your account.
You may add products to your wishlist for future reference; however, this does not reserve the item, and availability is subject to the seller's discretion.
DIMATY serves solely as a platform to connect buyers and sellers. We do not own, store, or endorse any products listed on the site, nor do we guarantee their quality, authenticity, or condition. All transactions are conducted at your own risk, and DIMATY is not responsible for any disputes, losses, or outcomes arising from in-person exchanges. We strongly advise users to only make payments after personally inspecting and verifying the goods. DIMATY assumes no liability for any transactions, and users are encouraged to exercise due diligence and caution.
